Gorakhnath and gorkhkali both are situated on the historical palace upper Gorkha Durbar. On the southwestern side of gorkha palace lies the temple of Goddess Gorakhkali and Gorakhnath Cave is little below in the east side.

Kalika Mandir was built by King Ram Shah which is full of psychedelic fantasy of carved peacocks, demons and serpents. In the festivle Maha-Ashtami , (Dashain festival) on which people sacrifice of 108 each of buffalo, goat, cock, duck, and ram among others.
