The footer of each page on Blogger includes a space for a copyright notice and a link to Blogger.com. This is done with the Attribution Gadget, a Blogger page element. If you have added text to the footer of your blog that you want to remove, you can delete it by changing the text in the gadget.
Step 1
Click the "Design" link on the Blogger.com dashboard menu to display the page layout for your blog.
Step 2
Scroll down to the "Attribution" gadget at the bottom of the page, and click the "Edit" link in the bottom-right corner of the gadget.
Step 3
Click the field under "Copyright (Optional)," and push the "Backspace" key to remove text that you have entered. Click the "Save" button to save the gadget.
Step 4
Click the "Edit HTML" link at the top of the Design page if you want to remove the Attribution Gadget from your blog. This displays the HTML code for your blog's template. Click the "Download Full Template" button before beginning to save a copy of the template to your computer in case you want to revert your blog to its original layout.
Step 5
Click to select the "Expand Widget Templates" box.
Step 6
Press the "Ctrl" and "F" keys, and type the word "Attribution" in your browser's "Find" dialog box.
Step 7
Highlight the line "<!-- outside of the include in order to lock Attribution widget -->" by clicking and dragging with the mouse. Push the "Backspace" key to remove this code from your template.
Step 8
Highlight all the code between the lines "<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='true' title='' type='Attribution'>" and "</b:widget>," including the two lines described in this step. Push the "Backspace" key to remove it.
Step 9
Click the "Save Template" button. This displays a warning message notifying you that you are about to remove the Attribution section from your page. Click "Delete Widgets" to confirm.
Step 10
Visit your blog. The words "Powered by Blogger" no longer appear at the bottom.
